Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 pita bread rounds
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
Instructions:
Put lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper in a bowl
Put the chicken cubes in the fridge for at least an hour after adding them to the marinade
Warm the grill up to a medium-high level
Skewer chicken that has been marinated
Turn the skewers every so often for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked all the way through and has a little char
To make the tzatziki sauce, put Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped dill, salt, and pepper in a bowl
While the chicken is cooking, do this
Put rounds of pita bread on the grill and toast them for one to two minutes on each side
Toast pita rounds and put grilled chicken souvlaki on them
Top with tzatziki sauce, diced tomato, and sliced red onion
