Soft Cream Cheese Dark Chocolate Cookies



Rich dark chocolate and creamy, tangy cream cheese combine to create a delicious combination in these soft cream cheese dark chocolate cookies. They are ideal for sating your desire for chocolate and causing your taste buds to rejoice!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition

Stir in the vanilla extract

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined

Fold in the dark chocolate chips or chunks

Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft

Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
